TECON Shines at Bauma China 2024: technical exchange & exploration of new opportunities

TECON approaches Bauma China 2024 in Shanghai with careful preparation. Reflecting on past participation during the pandemic, where results were below expectations, the company has focused on thorough preparations for this year’s exhibition. From the selection and design optimization of showcased products to the planning of booth layouts and preparation of promotional materials, every detail has been carefully considered. The allocation and training of personnel have also been organized to ensure a well-executed presence. The final presentation reflects these efforts, showcasing the collective contributions of the team.

At this year’s Bauma China, our exhibition focused on showcasing our steel and aluminium frame formwork: HETO Frame Formwork, Alu-Flex Slab Formwork, and Alumi Frame Wall Formwork, complemented by displays of Plastic Formwork TP60 and Aludeck Slab systems. Among these, Alu-Flex combined with Slab Flex 20 Formwork took center stage as the highlight of our booth. In a departure from traditional methods, we utilized Ringlock scaffolding instead of steel props to support the floor slabs, creating a two-level platform. Moreover, the Ringlock scaffolding also served as an access system to the upper platform. The second-level platform featured a dedicated client discussion area, designed to facilitate in-depth communication and collaboration.

Due to the tight schedule for this year’s exhibition setup, pre-assembly tests were conducted at our factory to ensure a smooth assembly process within the limited timeframe. Led by the technical department, six inexperienced workers successfully completed the assembly of all exhibits within 24 hours, highlighting the ease of assembly with proper guidance. However, some challenges arose during the setup. Although a forklift was rented to assist with assembly, it became impractical to use after the platform was installed. As a result, the HETO frame panels, each weighing 122.33 kg, had to be assembled manually.

The exhibition officially began on November 26th, marking an exciting start. Our booth attracted a steady flow of visitors interested in learning about and discussing our products. In the same hall, competitors with similar product lines were also actively engaging attendees. Over the four-day event, we interacted with over 100 clients daily. Each evening, we reviewed and categorized the day’s client interactions, which included well-known formwork companies from Latin America, formwork rental companies, and various construction contractors from around the world. Some visitors came with specific objectives, such as a French client showing particular interest in our shoring props. Additionally, many long-term clients visited our booth, further reinforcing our ongoing partnerships. Notably, during the exhibition, we successfully signed an OEM agreement with an internationally renowned brand, marking a significant milestone in expanding our global collaborations.

During the exhibition, we offered customers an opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of TECON and our products by providing complimentary shuttle services to and from our Jiangyin factory. This initiative allowed visitors to explore our factory and sample showroom, which received widespread praise. Through the factory tours, customers gained valuable insights into our production lines and advanced manufacturing processes, further strengthening their trust in and recognition of the TECON brand. Additionally, we introduced a Project Photo Exploration Zone at our booth, showcasing a diverse range of past projects through visual displays, enabling visitors to better appreciate the scope and quality of our work.

Over the four-day exhibition, we achieved significant results and received widespread recognition from customers for the quality of our products. This Bauma exhibition has not only expanded Tuoheng's reach to a broader market but also greatly enhanced our visibility within the industry. Through in-depth communication and interaction with customers, we identified new market opportunities, reinforcing our commitment to delivering high-quality formwork solutions and outstanding services.
