The Founding of TECON Oplate Balkan doo Sremska Mitrovica

Our Balkan branch was officially established in 2023, marking a key step in our regional expansion. Located in Serbia, the subsidiary serves as the business hub for the entire Balkan region, which includes Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Kosovo, and Croatia. The branch was created to meet the needs of both Chinese enterprises and local customers. By flexibly responding to market changes, offering the convenience of communication in Chinese, and leveraging price advantages, while ensuring high-quality products that meet European standards, the branch aims to address long delivery cycles and enhance market competitiveness.

Background

The opportunity for expansion began with an initial inquiry that led to our collaboration with Diorit. Our TST60 shoring system and Slab Flex 20 formwork were first used in the RAŠTELICA Bridge project in Bosnia, marking the start of our strategic partnership in the region. This collaboration played a pivotal role in the Van Europe 5 Corridor project and set the stage for further growth in the Balkans.

Following this success, we were honored to participate in projects with China Railway Construction Corporation (CRCC) and China Communications Construction Company (CCCC), including the Vrbas Bridge on the Hungary-Serbia Railway and the E-763 Highway.

Building on the foundation of these two iconic projects, we conducted numerous visits, engaging with over 40 local companies and covering a total of 15,000 kilometers. Through these efforts, we gained an in-depth understanding of local needs and communicated the value of our solutions. As a result, we identified the key products we will focus on promoting in the Balkan region.

The branch specializes in providing cost-effective formwork and scaffolding systems required for local infrastructure and building projects, such as TST60, BASD20, ALUFLEX, HETO, FLEX20, and TP60. Additionally, it offers customized products that comply with European standards to meet clients' needs for quality and personalization.

The branch is primarily responsible for providing customized solutions for Chinese enterprises and local clients. It also manages the establishment of a warehousing system to shorten delivery times, optimize logistics, and reduce costs, ultimately enhancing service efficiency.
